Alison Krauss has been a country singer for over 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur, Illinois on the 23rd of July, 1971. LeAnne Kymes was one of the two most recent Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. She entered the music industry as a young girl, winning local contests by 10, and recording for the first time when she was 14 years old. She signed by Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. She was invited to join the band who she continues to perform Alison Krauss and Union Station and released her first album with them as a band in 1989.
