The name is a famous American performer and singer, who gained notoriety for being the lead singer of Black Veil Brides. The band was started by him and he is the last member to survive. Biersack was soon able to adopt the name Andy Black as a part of his fame claim and forwarded a genre of music that resembled the lines of yesteryear bands like Kiss as well as Motley Crue.
